Policy & Advocacy: Health Awareness / Nursing Leadership
CANE/CNA Ecoliteracy Survey
Recently The Canadian Nurses Association in collaboration with the Canadian Association of Nurses for the Environment on #WorldEnvironmentDay launched an Eco Survey. NNPBC is committed to taking action and raising awareness on #climatechange. Nurses have a role to play in environmental health & climate change - see link below to participate in the survey.
The survey has several aims including identifying nurses’ awareness, level of education, use of teaching resources with patients/ clients regarding environmental health and their perception of the impact the healthcare system has on surrounding ecosystems. Survey findings will assist in identifying knowledge and practice gaps and will support the development of ecoliteracy in the nursing profession with educational resources to address these gaps for nurses at various practice levels in Canada.
